Retail Pharmacy Manager - Oxford, NY

An established pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at their retail location in Oxford, NY. This contract opportunity offers the chance to manage a dynamic pharmacy team while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Oversee pharmacy operations to achieve financial goals, including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration.
• Lead pharmacy support personnel by managing job performance and reviews.
• Provide guidance and training to pharmacy associates, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Coordinate and ensure completion of required training programs for all pharmacy staff.
• Participate in patient-centered services such as immunization, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, side effects, and therapy optimization.
• Maintain continuous quality improvement programs focused on patient safety.
• Uphold cleanliness and organization of the workstation and pharmacy facilities per company and legal standards.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by state law.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY Pharmacist License.
• Immunization Certification with comfort administering all vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9 AM – 7 PM
• Saturday: 9 AM – 3 PM
• Closed Sundays
