Pharmacy Manager in Parsippany, NJ

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager to lead the pharmacy operations in a busy retail setting located in Ogdensburg, NY. This role offers either an interim or permanent position with a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with Sundays closed.

Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee the entire pharmacy department, including financial goals such as budget management, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Engage in business development activities within the store and the community.
• Manage pharmacy support personnel functions, including performance evaluation and training.
• Maintain accountability of pharmacy staff compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Ensure completion of all mandatory company training for pharmacy associates.
• Participate in patient-centered services like immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and medical providers on drug-related matters, monitoring patient progress to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Maintain continuous quality improvement focused on patient safety.
• Keep the pharmacy and workstation clean, organized, and compliant with legal and company standards.
• Complete continuing education programs as mandated by state law.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification and comfort in administering all vaccines (required).
• Recent pharmacy manager experience preferred.
