A pharmacy leadership role is open in Ogdensburg, NY, offering an opportunity to oversee the full operations of a retail pharmacy within a vibrant community setting. This position is available as either an interim or permanent placement, with a schedule that supports work-life balance: Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 7 PM, and Saturdays from 9 AM to 3 PM, with Sundays off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the registered supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Manage pharmacy operations including budget oversight, payroll, third-party administration, staff scheduling, and inventory control to maintain financial health.
- Lead pharmacy support personnel by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations, and ensure all associates complete necessary company training.
- Engage in business development within the store and the local community.
- Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, side effects, and adherence to therapy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace and comply with all company and legal standards.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety.
- Maintain continuing education as per state law requirements.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid New York State pharmacist license.
- Immunization certification and comfort administering all vaccines are required.
- Prior experience as a Pharmacy Manager is preferred.
