Apply NowThis opportunity calls for a skilled Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations at a bustling retail location in Oneonta, NY. This position offers both interim and permanent contract options with a schedule designed for weekday and weekend coverage.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations and policies.
- Manage pharmacy operations to meet financial goals, including budgeting, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and third-party administration.
- Lead business development initiatives in the store and local community.
- Oversee pharmacy support staff, including performance management and training.
- Ensure pharmacy associates complete all required company training.
- Participate actively in patient-centered services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and wellness programs.
- Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication use, interactions, and side effects, while monitoring patient progress to optimize treatment outcomes.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement to prioritize patient safety.
- Maintain professional judgment to provide high-quality service within scope of practice.
- Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and compliant with standards.
- Complete required continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Pharmacy License (required)
- Immunization Certification and confidence administering all vaccines (required)
- Recent experience managing a pharmacy (preferred)
