Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Rockford, Illinois

An exceptional leadership opportunity is available for a Manager of Regional Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations across multiple sites within a healthcare system. This direct hire role is based in Rockford, IL, requiring innovative managerial expertise to drive operational excellence, quality initiatives, and financial performance in pharmacy services.

Schedule: Monday–Friday with 24/7 accountability

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide system-level operational leadership and oversight for assigned pharmacy locations
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Pharmacy on planning, budgeting, and policy implementation
• Develop and maintain pharmacy procedures, quality assurance programs, and performance standards
• Build and sustain strong relationships with medical staff and hospital departments
• Support pharmacy information systems development and inventory control processes
• Participate actively in key committees such as Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Medication Safety, and Nursing/Pharmacy collaborations
• Manage human resources functions including staff hiring, performance evaluation, development, and engagement
• Monitor productivity, budget adherence, and patient outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational goals
• Assume full pharmacy manager duties while managing additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• PharmD from an accredited institution
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory or management experience in a pharmacy setting
• Active Illinois Pharmacist license (required)
