A 90-bed free-standing long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital in Southern California is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager for a 13-week assignment with the potential for temp-to-hire. This leadership role combines operational oversight with hands-on pharmacist duties, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy both management and clinical responsibilities. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to lead a dedicated pharmacy team in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily departmental workflow and assigned pharmacy staff
  • Develop and manage staff schedules and work assignments
  • Perform pharmacist duties, including dispensing medications and clinical review
  • Develop and implement systems to maintain regulatory compliance
  • Support continuous quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
  • Oversee staff workflows to promote efficiency and accuracy
  • Serve as a resource for staff education, orientation, and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license
  • Previous inpatient pharmacy management or supervisory experience required
  • Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and regulatory standards
  • Ability to lead staff and maintain compliance with applicable regulations

Experience

  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Leadership experience in an inpatient or LTAC setting preferred

Work Hours

  • Monday – Friday
  • Day shifts
  • 40 hours per week

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 13 weeks or longer
  • Potential for temp-to-hire based on performance and facility needs

Compensation

  • $68–$76 per hour for local candidates
  • Travel stipends may be available for non-local candidates
