Pharmacy Manager - Sanger, CA

A leadership role is available to assist in managing the pharmacy department within a hospital setting, focusing on daily operations and strategic departmental goals. The position emphasizes collaboration with medical and hospital staff to uphold the organization's values and deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Director of Pharmacy in developing and implementing departmental objectives.
• Dispense medications accurately and provide expert drug consultations.
• Manage and oversee pharmacy staff including ambulatory and IT pharmacists.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulatory agencies, Quality Assurance, and Performance Improvement standards.
• Lead pharmacy-related projects such as IT integration, automation, bedside scanning, barcoding, charge master maintenance, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Actively participate in pharmacy committees, task forces, and professional organizations to promote continuous professional development.
• Oversee the provision and support of pharmaceutical care services.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (required).
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program (preferred).
• Valid California Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license with California State Board of Pharmacy certification (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire (required).
• Minimum three years of pediatric pharmacy experience (required).
• Minimum five years of proficiency in pharmacy operations and management (preferred).
• Experience working with EPIC EMR system.

Location:

• Sanger, California

Schedule:

• Primarily day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per shift, with possible schedule flexibility based on business needs.
