Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Sioux Center, Iowa

A retail pharmacy manager position is available beginning 09/14/26 for approximately 13 weeks at a 340B outpatient retail pharmacy located within a critical access hospital. This role offers the opportunity to lead a busy pharmacy with a daily prescription volume of about 140 in a supportive, small-team setting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including 340B program standards
• Manage and support a team consisting of one pharmacist and two pharmacy technicians
• Implement and maintain efficient prescription processing and dispensing using the Pioneer pharmacy computer system
• Provide leadership and training to staff, contributing to a positive team environment
• Ensure exceptional patient care and safety while maintaining workflow productivity
• Be available for on-call duties on a rare basis, as needed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Iowa pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary Iowa license
• Proven experience managing retail pharmacy operations, preferably with some familiarity with the 340B program
• Full-time availability to work pharmacy hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 6:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively guide pharmacy staff
• Adaptability to work independently in a critical access hospital outpatient setting
