Pharmacy Manager in Sioux Center, IA

An exciting opportunity is available to oversee a 340B retail pharmacy located inside a critical access hospital in Sioux Center, IA. This role combines leadership with hands-on pharmacy duties, managing a prescription volume averaging 140 per day. The pharmacy operates within standard business hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call responsibilities.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the pharmacy ensuring compliance with 340B program requirements.
• Provide exceptional patient care and medication management.
• Supervise and collaborate with a team consisting of one pharmacist and two technicians.
• Utilize the Pioneer pharmacy computer system to manage prescriptions and records accurately.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, policies, and procedures within a critical access hospital setting.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Iowa pharmacy license or ability to obtain an Iowa temporary license.
• Solid retail pharmacy background; previous 340B program experience highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a small team.
• Full-time availability to meet the needs of the pharmacy.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Details:

• Start Date: September 14
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks plus potential extension.
• On-call duties required rarely.
