Supervising Pharmacy Manager - State College, Pennsylvania

A permanent opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager in Mill Hall, PA, within a retail pharmacy setting. This full-time role offers variable day and afternoon shifts, starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities include maintaining a collaborative relationship with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate department and company strategy effectively to pharmacy staff. The Pharmacy Manager ensures accuracy and compliance with all prescriptions through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Managing the department’s profitability by promoting script growth through clinical programs, such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), is a critical component of this role.

The ideal candidate will oversee inventory control by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profits. Performance objectives align with seven measurable department metrics to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. Providing excellent customer service by assisting with medical-related inquiries and counseling is essential. Supervision of pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff includes training, coaching, and managing discipline while maintaining pharmacy security.

Additionally, this role involves resolving customer concerns to build loyalty, collaborating with physicians for prescription-related issues, and maintaining a clean, orderly pharmacy environment. Ongoing training and personnel development are prioritized to improve performance, reduce turnover, and control labor costs. The Pharmacy Manager ensures timely completion of departmental tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and handling customer will-calls.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
