A retail pharmacy located in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead its pharmacy department in Burnham, PA. This direct hire opportunity offers a variable schedule comprised of 10- to 12-hour shifts with hours typically running from early morning to evening, including day and afternoon shifts. Candidates should be prepared to work approximately 62 hours bi-weekly and are expected to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative partnership with the store operations team, driving associate engagement and communicating company and department strategies.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  • Manage and grow a profitable pharmacy business by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Oversee pharmaceutical stock control, including tracking weekly sales and ordering inventory to meet customer demand while maximizing profits.
  • Align departmental performance with key measurable metrics concerning effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, offering healthcare counseling and resolving any medical-related inquiries.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including their training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and cleanliness, prioritizing ongoing training to enhance staff development, reduce turnover, and control labor expenses.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally to build trust and loyalty.
  • Coordinate closely with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details and resolve issues.
  • Manage daily operational tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-call orders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
