A retail pharmacy located in Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead its pharmacy department in Burnham, PA. This direct hire opportunity offers a variable schedule comprised of 10- to 12-hour shifts with hours typically running from early morning to evening, including day and afternoon shifts. Candidates should be prepared to work approximately 62 hours bi-weekly and are expected to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a collaborative partnership with the store operations team, driving associate engagement and communicating company and department strategies.
- Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Manage and grow a profitable pharmacy business by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Oversee pharmaceutical stock control, including tracking weekly sales and ordering inventory to meet customer demand while maximizing profits.
- Align departmental performance with key measurable metrics concerning effectiveness and efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, offering healthcare counseling and resolving any medical-related inquiries.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including their training, coaching, and discipline.
- Maintain pharmacy security and cleanliness, prioritizing ongoing training to enhance staff development, reduce turnover, and control labor expenses.
- Handle customer complaints professionally to build trust and loyalty.
- Coordinate closely with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details and resolve issues.
- Manage daily operational tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-call orders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
