Located in Sunbury, PA, this full-time Pharmacy Manager role offers an opportunity to lead a retail pharmacy department with a focus on operational excellence and customer care. This direct hire position requires an individual eager to manage a busy pharmacy, drive business growth, and lead a team with a strong patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with store operations to promote associate engagement and clearly communicate department and company goals.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with all prescription processing through thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and Quality Assurance, adhering to federal and state regulations.
- Manage pharmacy operations to build profitability and script growth via clinical initiatives including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) where available.
- Work with the District Manager and pharmacy team to maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor weekly sales trends.
- Align department performance with key metrics focused on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with medical questions and offering healthcare counseling.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, handling training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain security and compliance within the pharmacy.
- Address and resolve customer concerns to foster loyalty and trust.
- Engage with physicians and use reference materials to clarify prescription information and resolve issues.
- Keep the pharmacy organized and oversee continuous personnel development to boost performance and control labor costs.
- Prioritize tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
