A retail pharmacy manager opportunity is available in Sunbury, PA, for a dedicated professional who thrives in managing pharmacy operations and driving business growth. This is a direct-hire, full-time role with a variable schedule covering day and afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaboration with the store operations team and communicate company strategies effectively to pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure all prescriptions are accurately filled, adhering to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
  • Manage the pharmacy department to build profitability and increase prescription growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Oversee inventory control by monitoring weekly sales and ordering pharmaceuticals to meet customer demand and maximize profits.
  • Align department objectives with seven key performance metrics focused on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service by assisting with medical-related inquiries and providing healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Address and resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty, and liaise with physicians to clarify prescription-related questions.
  • Prioritize and execute pharmacy tasks efficiently, including cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call orders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Pennsylvania Immunization License
