Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Unadilla, New York

A pharmacy leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Manager role at a well-established retail location in Oneonta, NY. This position offers candidates the choice of an interim or permanent placement with a supportive work schedule to balance professional and personal life.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the supervising pharmacist, registering with the state board of pharmacy as the pharmacist-in-charge.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee pharmacy operations, including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration to meet financial goals.
• Lead business development efforts within the store and local community.
• Manage pharmacy staff performance, training, accountability, and ensure completion of required company training.
• Deliver patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers regarding medications, dosages, interactions, and side effects to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Maintain quality improvement initiatives that ensure patient safety.
• Uphold a clean and organized work environment consistent with professional standards.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current NY pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification with confidence administering all vaccine types.
• Previous experience managing a pharmacy is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide pharmacy team members.
