Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | University Park, Pennsylvania

An established retail pharmacy is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Manager to lead operations at their Burnham, PA location. This direct hire opportunity offers a chance to oversee pharmacy services in a dynamic retail environment with a focus on patient care, operational excellence, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster strong collaboration with store operations and pharmacy teams to drive associate engagement and communicate company strategy effectively.
• Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Manage the pharmacy department with an emphasis on profitability, script growth, and clinical program implementation including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Oversee inventory control by monitoring sales and pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand efficiently.
• Align performance objectives with departmental metrics to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional customer service including healthcare counseling and issue resolution to build trust and loyalty.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; lead training, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
• Maintain department security, cleanliness, and organization.
• Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call fulfillment in a timely manner.
• Communicate with physicians and use reference materials to address prescription-related questions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred

Schedule:

• Variable day and afternoon shifts
• 10-hour shifts: 9 AM – 7 PM
• 11-hour shifts: 9 AM – 8 PM
• 12-hour shifts: 8 AM – 8 PM or 9 AM – 9 PM
• Bi-weekly hours totaling approximately 62
