Retail Pharmacy Manager in Vestal, NY

A direct hire opportunity is available for a full-time Pharmacy Manager position at a retail location in Binghamton, NY. This leadership role involves managing pharmacy operations to ensure regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and business growth. The Pharmacy Manager will work closely with store operations and pharmacy staff to drive performance and maintain a professional, efficient department.

• Variable day/afternoon shifts
• Approximately 62 hours bi-weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with store operations to foster associate engagement and effectively communicate pharmacy strategies.
• Ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance in prescription dispensing through Drug Utilization Review and quality assurance processes.
• Manage pharmacy profitability by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Monitor inventory control and order pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and optimize profits.
• Align team objectives with key performance metrics to improve department efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting with medical inquiries and counseling.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty.
• Liaise with physicians and utilize reference materials to resolve prescription-related concerns.
• Oversee daily department maintenance and employee development to enhance performance and reduce turnover.
• Prioritize and complete pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
• Current New York Pharmacist License
• Experience in retail pharmacy management preferred
