Oversee pharmacy operations and lead a dynamic team in a retail setting as Pharmacy Manager based in Binghamton, NY. This direct hire opportunity offers a variable schedule of day and afternoon shifts totaling approximately 62 hours bi-weekly, available to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster collaborative relationships with the store operations team, driving associate engagement and clearly communicating company and departmental strategies.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all prescription filling processes by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal pharmacy board regulations.
- Manage department performance focused on profitability, script growth, and clinical program implementation, including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) where applicable.
- Oversee inventory management with the pharmacy District Manager, including tracking sales and ordering stock to meet customer demands and maximize profit.
- Align pharmacy performance objectives with seven key measurable department metrics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deliver high-quality customer service by assisting with medical inquiries and providing healthcare counseling.
- Supervise and develop pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff through training, coaching, and performance management.
- Maintain secure pharmacy operations and handle customer concerns to build trust and loyalty.
- Collaborate with physicians and utilize reference resources to resolve prescription or customer issues.
- Keep the pharmacy department organized and clean, continuously enhancing staff training and development to reduce turnover and control labor costs.
- Prioritize and complete essential pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory control, and managing will-call orders.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
- Current New York Pharmacist license mandatory.
- Proven leadership and management experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and customer service best practices.
