Pharmacy Manager - Westerville, OH

An infusion pharmacy manager position is available for direct hire, offering an excellent opportunity to lead pharmacy operations and staff in a specialized setting. This role demands strong leadership skills and expertise in pharmacy management, with a preferred background in infusion or specialty pharmacy.

Location: Westerville, OH
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with required schedule flexibility and participation in administrative on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations to ensure effective and compliant service delivery.
• Manage and train pharmacy staff, focusing on orientation and ongoing professional development.
• Ensure adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 standards, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Supervise compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services in line with medical directives.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal licensing and standards.
• Assess patient drug and disease information to identify medication-related problems or needs.
• Develop and revise patient care plans, ensuring safe and accurate medication preparation.
• Manage controlled substances handling, including preparation, distribution, and security.
• Collaborate with physicians and referral sources to support patient care.
• Act as a resource for drug information and support sales team efforts.
• Facilitate hiring, training, performance evaluations, payroll approval, and conflict resolution for direct reports.
• Participate in on-call pharmacist rotation and provide coverage as required.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist with relevant clinical experience.
• Active state licensure and any additional licensures required by state regulations.
• Minimum of 7 years of pharmacist experience, ideally with direct compounding experience.
• Prior infusion pharmacy management experience is highly preferred; specialty pharmacy experience also considered.
• Postgraduate training is an asset.
