Oversee and lead pharmacy operations as the Infusion Pharmacy Manager in a role designed for direct hire, beginning immediately. This position is based in Westerville, OH, offering a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with some schedule flexibility and participation in administrative on-call duties.
As Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for managing pharmacy staff with a strong emphasis on training and orientation. Experience in an infusion setting is highly preferred, though specialty pharmacy experience will also be considered. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services and medical supplies, adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct pharmacy operations ensuring effective and compliant services.
- Uphold standards set forth by USP 797, USP 800, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services.
- Ensure pharmacy operations meet licensing and regulatory standards.
- Assess patient, drug, and disease information to address drug-related needs and revise care plans.
- Manage preparation and accuracy of compounded formulations, supervising Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns.
- Oversee controlled substances’ preparation, distribution, and security.
- Liaise with physicians and referral sources as needed.
- Serve as a drug information resource and support the sales team.
- Participate in pharmacist on-call schedules and coverage.
- Complete all managerial duties including hiring, training, performance management, and strategic planning.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or R.Ph. with clinical experience.
- Applicable active state licensure; additional licensure may be required.
- Minimum 7 years of pharmacist experience, preferably with direct compounding.
- Postgraduate training.
- Prior management experience with pharmacy staff.
- Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience preferred.
- Familiarity with CPR+/CareTend systems is a plus.
