Lead pharmacy operations and clinical services as an Infusion Pharmacy Manager for a direct hire position based in Whittier, CA. This role is pivotal in overseeing home-based intravenous therapies, managing sterile compounding, supervising pharmacy staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards—all while supporting branch profitability and clinical quality.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Requires schedule flexibility and administrative on-call duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct daily pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, dispensing, and inventory control
- Lead and supervise pharmacists and technicians, managing recruitment, training, performance reviews, and on-call rotations
- Ensure strict compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations and USP compounding guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to maintain clinical excellence in infusion therapies and optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in budgeting, workflow enhancements, and performance improvement efforts to support business goals
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in California
- 3 to 7 years of direct clinical and operational experience in a home infusion or acute care pharmacy setting
- Strong expertise in IV admixture services, regulatory accreditation, and effective team leadership
- Experience with CareTend system highly preferred
