An experienced pharmacy professional is sought to lead and manage a retail pharmacy department in Williamsport, PA. This permanent full-time position offers variable day and afternoon shifts in a dynamic retail environment focused on providing exceptional healthcare service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with the store operations team by promoting associate engagement and clearly communicating company and department strategies.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all prescription processing through Drug Utilization Review and Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Drive business profitability by expanding prescription volume and integrating clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Collaborate with district management and pharmacy staff to control inventory, analyze weekly sales, and place pharmaceutical orders aligned with customer demand.
- Manage departmental performance based on key metrics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deliver excellent customer service by addressing medical inquiries, providing healthcare counseling, and resolving complaints to build trust.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff; oversee training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain security protocols within the pharmacy area.
- Interact with healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues and gather necessary information.
- Keep the pharmacy orderly and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Conduct ongoing performance reviews and development initiatives to support staff retention and operational excellence.
- Prioritize and oversee completion of pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
