Pharmacy Technician - Alamogordo, New Mexico

Pharmacy Technician opportunity available in a hospital setting, located in Alamogordo, NM. This contract role offers a chance to apply your pharmacy skills in an inpatient environment with a schedule that includes a rotating weekend commitment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
• Manage inventory and restocking of pharmaceuticals.
• Support IV admixture preparation if certified.
• Handle chemotherapy-related tasks if experienced in this area.
• Provide exceptional patient care and maintain sterile environments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication usage.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy settings preferred.
• IV certification and chemotherapy experience are advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule (every 3rd weekend).

Location:

• Hospital located on 2669 N. Scenic Drive, Alamogordo, NM.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
• Saturday and Sunday hours from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM on a rotating weekend basis.

Compensation:

• Pharmacy Tech: $19 - $22 per hour.
• With IV Certification: $20 - $23 per hour.
• With Chemotherapy Experience: $23 - $25 per hour.
