Travel Pharmacy Technician in Albany, NY

A travel opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with strong experience in chemotherapy and IV admixture to support a cancer center infusion pharmacy in the Albany, NY area. This position requires expertise in preparing chemo medications and working within an oncology pharmacy network. Candidates will float between three nearby pharmacy locations, so reliable transportation is essential.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare chemotherapy and other IV admixture medications following established protocols.
• Float among three pharmacy sites within the oncology network located within about 20 miles of each other.
• Maintain proper safety and handling procedures for hazardous drugs.
• Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to ensure timely medication delivery for infusion treatments.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Strong background in chemotherapy drug preparation and oncology pharmacy procedures.
• PTCB certification highly preferred.
• No New York state pharmacy license required for this position.
• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple pharmacy sites within the network.

This is a 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate is ready to start as soon as possible and is comfortable working in a specialized cancer care setting.
