Travel Pharmacy Tech | Albany, New York

A Travel Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available to support a cancer center infusion pharmacy in the Albany, NY area. This role focuses primarily on chemotherapy and IV admixture preparation within a prestigious oncology network. Candidates will provide critical pharmacy technician support across three nearby pharmacy sites, requiring reliable transportation to float between locations within a 20-mile radius.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound chemotherapy and other IV admixtures according to established protocols
• Ensure accuracy and safety in all medication preparation tasks
• Float between three oncology pharmacies within the network, providing seamless pharmacy technician coverage
• Collaborate with pharmacy and clinical staff to support patient care needs
• Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Strong background in chemotherapy and IV admixture preparation required
• PTCB certification highly preferred
• New York state license NOT required for this position
• Reliable transportation is essential to manage float responsibilities
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
