Travel Pharmacy Technician in Albany, NY

A specialized opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with expertise in oncology infusion pharmacy. This role supports a cancer center infusion pharmacy within an oncology network in the Albany, NY area. The assignment is for 13 weeks or longer, beginning as soon as possible, with a Monday to Friday day-shift schedule from approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and perform admixture of chemotherapy medications with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage pharmacy duties across three different oncology sites within a 20-mile radius, requiring reliable transportation.
• Follow established procedures for sterile compounding and IV admixture.
• Collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare teams to ensure timely and accurate preparation of medications.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an infusion pharmacy setting, preferably with chemotherapy/IV admixture.
• PTCB certification is highly preferred.
• NY state pharmacy license is not required for this assignment.
• Reliable transportation to commute between multiple sites within the oncology network.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to sterility and safety standards.

Location:

• Albany, New York area within an oncology network covering three pharmacies.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
