This opportunity is ideal for a Pharmacy Technician equipped with hospital and IV compounding expertise. This role offers a contract-to-direct hire pathway within a dynamic inpatient hospital setting, providing valuable hands-on experience and professional growth.
Location:
- Albion, MI
Schedule / Hours:
- Monday through Friday, rotating 6:30 am, 7:00 am, and 8:30 am start times (eight-hour shifts)
- Second shift rotation at 2:30 pm start
- Rotating weekends from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill Pyxis machines and deliver medication orders to patient care floors
- Perform nursing unit inspections to ensure compliance and safety
- Prepare IV compounds according to hospital protocols
- Utilize Pyxis and Cerner computer systems for medication management and documentation
Desired Qualifications:
- Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
- Proficiency with Pyxis medication dispensing systems essential
- Demonstrated experience in IV compounding
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License
- National certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
