A professional Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available for a licensed candidate to serve as a traveling liaison supporting multiple healthcare facilities across Maryland and Virginia. This role involves direct, hands-on interaction with facility leadership and staff to ensure exceptional medication management and compliance within a variety of clinical settings.
Location: Travel throughout Maryland and Virginia, including but not limited to Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, Hampton, and surrounding areas.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (rare weekend work)
- 40 hours per week
- Flexibility for occasional late-day audits required
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with key decision-makers at multiple facilities, acting as the primary pharmacy liaison.
- Support medication therapy management and regulatory compliance in collaboration with clinical services and pharmacy operations directors.
- Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries and concerns.
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and product introduction tailored to client needs.
- Lead training sessions and educational programs on medication systems and protocols.
- Conduct monthly onsite visits with reporting to track customer success and continuous improvement.
- Support survey preparation, medication cart/room inspections, and medication pass observations.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams to provide seamless service coordination.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses in both Virginia and Maryland are required.
- PTCB certification is highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks preferred.
- Reliable transportation with willingness to travel extensively; overnight stays may be required.
