Support daily pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail setting, utilizing expertise in PioneerRx software to accurately enter and fill prescriptions. This per diem opportunity requires availability from June 22nd through July 11th, with training provided from June 22nd to June 24th.
Location: Alexandria, VA area (retail pharmacy in Broadlands, VA)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sundays: Closed
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately entering and filling prescriptions using PioneerRx
- Assisting the Pharmacist with workflow and customer service needs
- Performing non-sterile compounding tasks as necessary (training provided during initial days)
- Maintaining compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Prior hands-on experience with PioneerRx system is required
- Pharmacy Technician certification or equivalent preferred
- Ability to learn non-sterile compounding techniques quickly
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to assist pharmacist and serve customers
