Pharmacy Technician | Allentown, Pennsylvania

Provide technical support under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in an inpatient hospital setting. The pharmacy technician will label, prepare, dispense, and distribute pharmaceutical products for all patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role involves working with software such as Pyxis and Omnicell to ensure accurate medication management.

Location:

• Flemington, NJ (approximately 1 hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City)

Schedule:

• Variable days and afternoon shifts based on departmental needs
• Weekend rotation required as scheduled

Responsibilities:

• Support the Department of Pharmaceutical Services with technical pharmacy tasks
• Label, prepare, dispense, and distribute medications safely and accurately
• Utilize Pyxis and Omnicell software systems for medication management
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care
• Follow all safety and compliance protocols, including sterile compounding procedures as applicable

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• NJ Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain promptly
• National Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• Minimum 1 year inpatient experience including IV preparation
• IV/Sterile Compounding certification is preferred
