Support pharmaceutical operations in an inpatient hospital setting as a Pharmacy Technician under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist. This position plays a critical role in preparing, labeling, dispensing, and distributing medications to diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to strict safety and quality standards to ensure optimal patient care.

Location:

  • Flemington, NJ (approximately 1 hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City)

Schedule:

  • Variable days and afternoon shifts depending on department needs
  • Weekend rotation as scheduled

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and label pharmaceuticals for various patient groups
  • Dispense and distribute medications safely and efficiently
  • Utilize pharmacy software systems such as Pyxis and Omnicell
  • Support sterile compounding and IV preparation in compliance with safety protocols
  • Collaborate closely with pharmacists and healthcare teams to meet patient needs

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • NJ Pharmacy Technician license, or ability to obtain promptly
  • National certification from PTCB or NHA
  • Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience, including IV preparation
  • IV and sterile compounding certification preferred
