This opportunity offers a Travel Night Pharmacy Technician role based in Gardena, CA, designed for professionals with strong inpatient pharmacy experience. The position features a consistent 5 on, 5 off schedule with 10-hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, ideal for those seeking work-life balance during night hours. The contract duration ranges from 8 to 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and fill Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets accurately and efficiently.
• Compound intravenous medications, including IVs, IV Piggybacks (IVPBs), and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN).
• Respond to telephone inquiries and provide excellent communication support to nursing staff.
• Deliver medications promptly to nursing units to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Utilize the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system to manage medication orders.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician in an inpatient hospital setting.
• Skilled in compounding intravenous medications and filling automated dispensing cabinets.
• Familiarity with Pyxis systems and medication delivery processes.
• Trained and competent with Allscripts/Paragon electronic order entry systems.
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy during night shifts.

Location and Facility Information:

• Facility licensed for 173 beds with an average daily census of approximately 140 patients.
• Located in Gardena, CA, with opportunities to travel and accommodate flexible relocation.

• Night shift from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 5 consecutive workdays followed by 5 days off
