A challenging opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician with acute care and inpatient experience at a busy healthcare facility in Anaheim, CA. This contract position offers a chance to work in a hospital setting with a focus on specialized pharmacy services, including IV compounding and Pyxis automation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform IV compounding with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage and fill Pyxis automated medication dispensing systems efficiently.
• Support pharmacy operations in an inpatient acute care environment.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other technicians to maintain medication accuracy.
• Cover shifts that vary between 7:30 AM and 8:30 PM, including weekend hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Maintain professional appearance by wearing scrubs in accordance with dress code requirements.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Pharmacy Technician certification is required.
• Experience with inpatient and acute care pharmacy duties.
• Competence in IV compounding techniques.
• Proficiency in using Pyxis medication dispensing systems.
• Familiarity with Paragon/Allscripts order entry systems.
• Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week, flexible to varying shifts including weekends.

• The facility operates with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44.
• The pharmacy team includes 3 full-time pharmacists and 3 full-time pharmacy technicians.
• This is a contract role with an initial duration of 8 to 13+ weeks.
• Minimum taxable pay rates start at $25.00/hr with additional allowances available.
• Open to traveler pharmacy technicians due to high demand.
• No VMS system involvement.
