Pharmacy Technician | Anchorage, Alaska

Support pharmacy operations at a behavioral health hospital specializing in pediatric and detox services. This contract opportunity in Anchorage, AK is suited for pharmacy technicians with acute care or behavioral health experience, ready to contribute to a focused team environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Alaska Pharmacy Technician license (obtaining the license is straightforward)
• Experience in acute care or behavioral health preferred
• Familiarity with outpatient or inpatient pharmacy settings is a plus but not required
• Basic computer skills; experience with HCS Web EMR or Omnicell systems is helpful but training will be provided

Location:

• Anchorage, Alaska at a behavioral health hospital with 74 licensed beds and an average daily census of 65-70

Responsibilities:

• Manage medication inventory and ensure proper stocking
• Coordinate Omnicell deliveries and maintain accurate record keeping
• Handle phone call triage, supporting communication with staff and healthcare providers
• Utilize order entry systems and site automation tools under guidance

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• Coverage needed for at least 8 weeks starting ASAP, with potential extension to 12 weeks until permanent placement is secured
