Pharmacy Technician in Arlington, TX

A pharmacy technician opportunity is available in Arlington, TX, supporting a specialized AIDS/HIV community health pharmacy. This 13-week contract position requires a compassionate approach and strong clinical skills to meet the needs of a sensitive patient population.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical retail pharmacy duties such as data entry and medication dispensing
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in handling prescriptions
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients living with HIV/AIDS
• Utilize QS1 pharmacy software for processing and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year working in a retail pharmacy setting
• Prior experience dispensing for HIV/AIDS patients is essential
• Strong patient communication skills with a respectful, non-judgmental attitude
• Texas Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
• Fast learner with adaptability to specialized pharmacy workflows
• Spanish language skills highly preferred to enhance patient interaction
