An immediate opening is available for a Pharmacy Technician to support a specialty AIDS/HIV pharmacy located in Arlington, TX. This 13-week contract opportunity begins ASAP, starting April 6, with the following schedule:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This role requires a compassionate and respectful approach when assisting patients, ensuring a non-judgmental environment tailored to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing typical retail pharmacy technician duties such as accurate data entry and medication dispensing
- Communicating effectively with patients, understanding specific needs in the AIDS/HIV community
- Utilizing pharmacy software, preferably QS1, to manage prescriptions and inventory
Desired qualifications and experience:
- At least one year of retail pharmacy experience with demonstrated proficiency
- Prior experience dispensing medications in an HIV/AIDS specialty pharmacy setting
- Strong communication skills and ability to connect with a diverse patient population
- Texas Pharmacy Technician license required; PTCB certification is a plus
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to workflow efficiently
- Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred to better serve the community
