A dynamic opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to serve as a pivotal liaison between pharmacy services and multiple healthcare facilities across Maryland and Virginia. This direct hire role requires consistent travel throughout the assigned territory, engaging with facility leadership and staff to support medication therapy and compliance efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and sustaining strong relationships with key decision-makers at various healthcare facilities.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring client needs are met with quality pharmacy care.
  • Collaborating with clinical services and pharmacy operations directors to support medication therapy management.
  • Promptly addressing client inquiries, concerns, and issues.
  • Identifying service expansion opportunities and introducing new products tailored to client requirements.
  • Conducting training programs for facility staff on pharmacy and facility systems, including startups.
  • Performing monthly onsite visits coupled with reporting to promote customer success.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Assisting with survey preparations, medication cart/room inspections, and medication pass observations as requested.
  • Coordinating with internal pharmacy teams to deliver seamless service.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses in both Virginia and Maryland are mandatory.
  • PTCB certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is essential to travel across the territory; overnight stays may be required.
  • Flexibility to handle audit visits that may occur outside standard hours.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with rare weekend requirements.
  • Approximately 40-hour workweeks with occasional later hours for audits.

This role offers mileage reimbursement and coverage for lodging expenses when travel necessitates overnight stays.
