A unique opportunity is available for a Certified Pharmacy Technician licensed in both Maryland and Virginia to support multiple healthcare facilities through direct client engagement and travel throughout these states. This role functions as the vital link between the pharmacy team and various facilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medication management services and compliance with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with facility leadership and staff as the primary liaison between assigned facilities and pharmacy services.
- Oversee medication therapy support, ensuring compliance and optimal outcomes in partnership with clinical and operational pharmacy leaders.
- Address and resolve client inquiries or concerns promptly, enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Identify service expansion opportunities and introduce new pharmacy products tailored to client needs.
- Conduct training sessions related to pharmacy systems, medication protocols, and facility-specific startups.
- Perform monthly onsite visits with comprehensive reporting to assess and improve facility medication management.
- Participate in survey preparation, medication cart inspections, and pass observations as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal pharmacy teams for service coordination and seamless client care.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Pharmacy Technician licensure for Virginia and Maryland required.
- PTCB certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings highly desirable.
- Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks preferred.
- Reliable personal transportation necessary to travel between facilities; overnight stays may be part of travel requirements.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Occasional later audits may require schedule flexibility.
- Rare weekend work.
Travel Details:
- Extensive travel required across Virginia locations including Alexandria, Woodbridge, Fairfax, Richmond, and more, as well as selected sites in Maryland.
- Mileage and lodging expenses covered by the client.
