This opportunity is for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to serve as a traveling liaison between pharmacy services and healthcare facilities throughout Maryland and Virginia. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with facility leadership and staff, ensuring effective communication and quality medication management across multiple sites.

In this direct hire position, you will travel regularly within the assigned territory—covering locations such as Alexandria, Woodbridge, Richmond, Hampton, and other communities in Virginia, as well as select Maryland facilities. While based on a standard Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 am to 4:00 pm), some flexibility for later audits is required. Typical workweeks are 40 hours with infrequent weekend demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned facilities, fostering collaboration between pharmacy and healthcare teams.
  • Provide expert support on medication therapy, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy operations.
  • Lead training sessions for facility staff on medication systems and procedures.
  • Conduct monthly onsite visits and detailed reporting to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Assist with survey preparation, medication cart inspections, and medication pass observations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services and introduce new products.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to coordinate seamless service delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacy technician licenses in both Virginia and Maryland.
  • PTCB certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings.
  • Proficiency with medication distribution and pharmacy software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel extensively; overnight stays may be necessary.
