This direct hire position involves becoming a key liaison between pharmacies and the various facilities you will visit, ensuring exceptional medication management and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include developing strong professional relationships with facility leaders and staff, serving as the primary contact for assigned accounts, and collaborating with clinical service directors to optimize medication therapy and compliance. You will provide on-site training, conduct medication room inspections, and support audit and survey preparations. Your role is essential in identifying opportunities to expand services and enhance client satisfaction, requiring both excellent communication and travel flexibility.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and maintain robust relationships with facility decision-makers and pharmacy teams.
- Serve as a main point of contact to address client needs and concerns promptly.
- Provide education and training to facility staff on pharmacy systems and medication protocols.
- Conduct monthly onsite visits with reporting to ensure continuous improvement.
- Perform medication cart and room inspections, medication pass observations, and assist with survey preparation.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician licenses for Virginia and Maryland are mandatory.
- PTCB certification is highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is desirable.
- Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks.
- Reliable transportation is required, with readiness for overnight stays when necessary.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 40 hours per week.
