A health system infusion center located on California’s Central Coast is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide reliable coverage during a temporary leave of absence. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic clinical setting focused on delivering high-quality infusion therapy.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift hours
This assignment is expected to last approximately eight weeks, with potential for extension or transition to permanent employment, depending on organizational needs and candidate fit.
Ideal candidates will hold a current California pharmacist license and possess either a PGY1 residency or at least one year of experience in inpatient or infusion pharmacy practice. Full-time availability is essential to ensure continuity of care and team collaboration within the infusion center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately verify and dispense medications, with a focus on infusion therapies
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication regimens
- Monitor patient responses and collaborate on necessary adjustments
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and protocols
- Document all pharmacy activities meticulously to ensure patient safety and quality assurance
Qualifications:
- Active California pharmacist license
- PGY1 residency preferred or minimum one year of inpatient/infusion experience
- Strong clinical knowledge of infusion medications and protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
