Pharmacy Technician | Atascadero, California

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a California pharmacist license and hospital background. The role supports pharmacy operations through a range of duties including sterile and non-sterile compounding, restocking automated medication dispensing systems, managing inventory, answering pharmacy inquiries, and assisting the pharmacist with daily tasks.

Located in Templeton, CA, this 13-week contract position offers a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week. The days and afternoons worked are variable, providing flexibility to fit the candidate’s availability. The Director of Pharmacy is committed to accommodating scheduling needs to create a balanced work week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding activities following pharmacy standards
• Restock Pyxis units with medications and supplies
• Field phone calls coming into the pharmacy to support patient and clinical needs
• Manage inventory to ensure adequate medication stock levels
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately

Qualifications:

• Current California pharmacist license
• Proven hospital pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with compounding protocols and automated dispensing systems
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts weekly
