Pharmacy Technician - Athens, Ohio

A full-time Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available at a mail-order compounding pharmacy in Athens, Ohio, offering a clear path for professional growth into sterile IV compounding. This contract-to-hire position is ideal for candidates with at least two years of recent pharmacy technician experience who are motivated to expand their skillset.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists with prescription processing, data entry, and order fulfillment. You will receive hands-on training in both non-sterile and sterile compounding, including IV preparation. Additional duties involve accurately filling, labeling, and packaging prescriptions for mail distribution, maintaining compliance with USP standards and pharmacy regulations, supporting inventory management, and aiding with shipping and workflow coordination.

Schedule/Shift:

• Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Pharmacy Technician experience
• Active Pharmacy Technician license if required by the state
• No prior compounding experience necessary; comprehensive training provided
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn new skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
