An established infusion pharmacy requires a skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Duluth, GA. This direct hire role offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) with occasional Saturdays as needed, providing a consistent work-life balance with some weekend flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding of medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, ensuring adherence to all quality and safety standards.
• Maintain quality assurance processes in compliance with departmental protocols and legal requirements.
• Complete sterile compounding practical certification according to USP 797 standards every six months.
• Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance of sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls align with USP 797 guidelines.
• Assist in training new employees on sterile compounding procedures and best practices.
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes.
• Carry out additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Georgia pharmacy technician license.
• National certification as a pharmacy technician is highly preferred.
• Experience with sterile compounding, particularly IV/infusion preparations.
• Familiarity with USP 797 standards and sterile product handling.
• Ability to operate within the CareTend pharmacy system is a plus.
