Pharmacy Technician - Atlanta, Georgia

An experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed immediately to support sterile compounding operations at a busy infusion pharmacy site in the Atlanta area. This direct hire opportunity offers a consistent schedule and the chance to apply advanced sterile compounding skills in a dynamic pharmacy setting.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Saturdays as needed

Responsibilities:

• Perform sterile compounding of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, adhering to all safety and quality standards
• Maintain quality assurance according to departmental protocols and legal requirements
• Complete sterile compounding practical certifications biannually in compliance with USP 797 standards
• Ensure daily cleaning and maintenance of sterile compounding rooms and primary engineering controls meet USP 797 guidelines
• Potentially train new employees on sterile compounding procedures and pharmacy operations
• Participate in clinical initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes
• Support other sterile compounding and pharmacy technician duties as assigned

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician License is required
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) highly preferred
• Proven experience in sterile compounding and infusion pharmacy settings
• Familiarity with USP 797 sterile compounding standards
• Proficiency in CareTend pharmacy system is a plus
