A dynamic opportunity exists for a Pharmacy Technician to serve as a key liaison supporting multiple healthcare facilities across Southern Illinois. This role blends travel with technical pharmacy expertise, requiring a licensed Illinois Pharmacy Technician ready to engage directly with facility leadership and staff to enhance medication management and patient care quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture relationships with facility decision-makers to act as the primary contact between the pharmacy and assigned facilities.
- Collaborate closely with clinical services directors and pharmacy operations to provide guidance on medication therapy and regulatory compliance.
- Address client inquiries promptly, supporting facilities with medication distribution and system training.
- Conduct onsite visits regularly to assess medication practices, ensure compliance, and present detailed reports.
- Identify and promote additional pharmacy services and new product offerings to meet client needs.
- Prepare facilities for surveys and conduct medication cart/room inspections and pass observations as requested.
Schedule:
- Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional flexibility for audits or special visits.
- Rarely includes weekends.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required.
- PTCB certification highly preferred.
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy settings is an advantage.
- Proficiency with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks preferred.
- Reliable personal transportation is necessary due to travel requirements, including potential overnight stays.
