This opportunity is ideal for a skilled sterile compounding technician seeking a direct hire position on an evening shift at a closed-door long-term care facility. The role focuses on preparing intravenous (IV) medications with precision and adherence to quality and regulatory standards in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile IV medications using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and medication efficacy
  • Perform thorough quality assurance checks on compounded formulations
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels to support consistent operations
  • Ensure strict compliance with USP 797 guidelines and other applicable regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
  • Proven experience in sterile compounding, particularly with IV preparations
  • Reliability and excellent attendance to support consistent shift coverage
  • Ability to adapt to a software framework used for dispensing (training provided)

Shift Details:

  • Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
  • Rotating schedule that includes every other weekend

Facility Type:

  • Closed door long-term care pharmacy
  • Handles approximately 600 prescriptions daily
