Pharmacy Technician in Aurora, IL

An opportunity is available for an experienced IV Pharmacy Technician to work full-time in a sterile compounding cleanroom environment in Aurora, IL. This role focuses on the preparation of sterile intravenous medications, requiring strong hands-on skills in IV compounding. The position follows strict aseptic techniques and USP <797> guidelines to ensure the safe and accurate preparation of medications.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile IV medications including antibiotics, hydration solutions, minibags, and syringes within a cleanroom.
• Follow aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures rigorously.
• Accurately label, package, and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Assist with prescription filling and data entry as needed.
• Maintain cleanroom standards and comply with all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years recent hands-on IV compounding experience is REQUIRED.
• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License.
• Proven experience working within a sterile compounding cleanroom environment.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile preparation procedures.
• PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Sterile Compounding Certificate preferred but not mandatory.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
