A hospital pharmacy technician role is available for an overnight shift at a pediatric inpatient facility in Austin, TX. This 13-week contract position begins in early March and offers a demanding but rewarding schedule of seven days on, seven days off, working from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates with experience in pediatric pharmacy settings are preferred to support the specialized needs of this patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compound sterile IV medications in compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
• Assist pharmacists with inpatient medication distribution and inventory management
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping in the EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care through timely medication delivery

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Pharmacy Technician license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (RPHT-TX) required
• IV certification is mandatory for this role
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience, with pediatric experience preferred
• Completion of at least 40 hours of sterile compounding training accredited by ACPE or ASHP preferred
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred
• Proficiency in EPIC or similar hospital electronic medical record systems required
