Pharmacy Technician in Baldwinsville, NY

A specialized role for a Pharmacy Technician is available to provide clinical support services and sterile compounding of infusion therapies under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with state board of pharmacy regulations and industry standards. This position is directly hired and based in Baldwinsville, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile IV/infused medications following USP 797, USP 800, and State Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
• Manage call and shipment schedules to maintain seamless patient care.
• Collect and process clinical information, coordinating communications among pharmacy, nursing, and reimbursement teams.
• Accurately enter patient and prescription data into pharmacy software, adhering to regulatory compliance.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of clean rooms according to company and regulatory policies.
• Engage in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with continuing education requirements and complete annual re-credentialing.
• Receive and store medications and supplies from vendors.
• Package and pick supplies and medications for shipment to patients’ homes.
• Participate in inventory management and formulary compliance programs.
• Obtain additional state licensure or registration as needed to support regional services.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active NY pharmacy technician license and current, good-standing PTCB certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an infusion setting preferred; IV hospital technician experience will be considered.
• Proficiency with CareTend pharmacy software is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of sterile compounding standards and pharmacy practice regulations.
