An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations in a retail setting. This role offers a temp-to-hire arrangement, providing a pathway to direct hire for candidates demonstrating strong performance and dedication.
Location: Battle Creek, MI
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 8.5-hour shifts
- Rotating start times at 7:30am, 8:00am, 9:30am, and 11:30am
- Pharmacy closes at 6pm on Fridays
- No weekend shifts initially, with potential changes in the future
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Assist with inventory management and medication stocking
- Utilize Pioneer RX computer system to process prescriptions and manage records (experience a plus)
- Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment
- Comply with all regulatory and safety guidelines
- Support the pharmacy team with day-to-day tasks and operations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required
- Previous pharmacy technician experience within a retail environment
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX pharmacy software is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
