This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support a retail pharmacy environment with dynamic, rotating day shifts. The role offers a temp-to-hire position providing an excellent pathway to permanent employment.
Location:
- Battle Creek, MI
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 8.5-hour shifts with rotating start times: 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:30 AM
- Pharmacy closes Fridays at 6:00 PM
- Initially no weekend shifts, with possible future schedule adjustments
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Assist customers with prescription requests and provide top-quality service in a retail setting
- Maintain inventory and monitor stock levels
- Utilize the Pioneer RX computer system for prescription processing and record keeping
- Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license
- Proven pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail environment
- Familiarity with Pioneer RX system is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
