Pharmacy Technician in Bethlehem, PA

Support pharmaceutical care in a busy inpatient hospital setting under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role involves essential technical support duties such as labeling, preparing, dispensing, and distributing pharmaceutical products to diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently
• Label pharmaceutical products according to standards and protocols
• Distribute medications safely to patients and care areas
• Operate inventory management systems including Pyxis and Omnicell
• Participate in weekend rotations and variable afternoon shifts based on departmental needs
• Adhere to sterile compounding practices and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid NJ Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain quickly
• National Certification from PTCB or NHA required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient experience, including IV medication preparation
• IV/Sterile Compounding certification preferred

Location & Schedule:

• Full-time, permanent position located in Flemington, NJ, approximately one hour from Edison, Newark, and New York City
• Variable afternoon shifts with required weekend rotation
