Pharmacy Technician in Blue Springs, MO

A well-established pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a recent retail background to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role offers approximately 32 hours per week with the potential for long-term growth and permanent employment. Upon conversion to permanent status, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage are available.

Location: Kansas City, MO

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating shifts between 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM and 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting patients both in-person and over the phone, addressing questions, and resolving medication or insurance issues
• Accurately process prescriptions through data entry, insurance billing, and labeling within a high-volume environment (approx. 150 prescriptions/day)
• Support non-sterile compounding activities with provided training, preparing medications according to established formulas and safety standards
• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions ensuring timely dispensing
• Manage inventory control, restock medications, and maintain proper organization and storage of pharmacy supplies

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Missouri Pharmacy Technician License
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience; background in high-foot traffic retail settings essential
• PTCB certification is advantageous but not mandatory
• Positive attitude with a strong team-player mindset and determination to succeed
