Pharmacy Technician - Brandon, Florida

A pharmacy technician role is available on a 13-week contract basis in Clearwater, FL, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The start date is ASAP or approximately 1.5 to 2 weeks after clearance.

Responsibilities include processing and filling prescriptions, handling insurance adjudications and rejections, preparing and labeling medications for pharmacist verification, and managing inventory with daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration reviews. The technician will assist with packing, shipping, returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations. Cross-training in various pharmacy functions and supporting department needs is also required.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required
• PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license REQUIRED
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience (call center experience preferred)
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent communication abilities with patients, providers, and internal teams
