Pharmacy Tech - Bronx, New York

An opportunity is available for an Evening Shift Production Pharmacy Technician specializing in dosage preparation within a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) facility in Bardonia, New York. This direct hire position involves working closely with the dosage department to support medication preparation and distribution for resident care.

Location: Bardonia, NY
Term: Direct Hire
Shift:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday, Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Days off: Tuesday and Thursday

Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications in appropriate packaging, such as blister packs and unit-dose, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to residents.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
• Maintain precise patient and medication records to support compliance and safety.
• Work within a high-volume environment, processing approximately 600 prescriptions per day.
• Operate the Frameworks software system (training provided for those unfamiliar).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently during weekends and evenings as per the outlined schedule.
