This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a Pharmacy Technician eager to contribute to medication preparation and distribution within a closed-door, long-term care facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications accurately for residents using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose systems.
  • Assist in the ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications while diligently monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date patient and medication records.
  • Cross-train in both dosage preparation and medication toting to enhance versatility within the department.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
  • PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to learn and utilize Frameworks software; training will be provided.
  • Ability to manage a workload with a high volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Rotating weekends as required by the facility.
