Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications accurately for residents using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose systems.
- Assist in the ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications while diligently monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date patient and medication records.
- Cross-train in both dosage preparation and medication toting to enhance versatility within the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required.
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and utilize Frameworks software; training will be provided.
- Ability to manage a workload with a high volume of approximately 600 prescriptions per day.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Rotating weekends as required by the facility.
