Pharmacy Technician | Bronx, New York

A direct hire opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Technician specializing in production within a closed-door, long-term care (LTC) facility. This role focuses on preparing medications for timely delivery to residents and involves operating in a high-volume setting, processing roughly 600 prescriptions daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare medications in appropriate packaging formats such as blister packs and unit-dose to meet schedule requirements
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates
• Maintain accurate patient and medication records to ensure compliance and safety
• Cross-train in both dosage department operations and toting functions, enhancing versatility within the pharmacy team

Location:

• Bronx, NY

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Rotating weekend shifts

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience
• New York State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not required
• PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
• Willingness to learn and adapt to Frameworks software system (training provided)
