Pharmacy Technician | Bronx, New York

A healthcare facility specializing in long-term care seeks a Pharmacy Technician for their day shift production area. This direct hire opportunity requires availability from Thursday through Sunday, supporting medication preparation and inventory management in a closed-door setting. The position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of pharmacy technician experience who are ready to contribute to efficient pharmaceutical operations in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities include preparing medications in unit-dose or blister pack formats to ensure timely delivery to residents, assisting with medication orders and stock management while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates, and maintaining accurate records of patient and medication information. Experience with pharmacy software is a plus, but training on Frameworks software will be provided.

Schedule:

• Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience
• NY State Pharmacy Technician license preferred but not required
• PTCB certification preferred but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily
• Willingness to work the specified Thursday through Sunday shift
